The Plantlust Farm was completely renovated in the past two years, taking the qualities of the original farmhouse into full account. In the past, "Plantlust” was leased by the Maljaars family, who lived there for more than two centuries. At that time, the farm was one of the most important farming businesses on the island of Walcheren. In particular, the beautiful clapboard barn is an eye-catcher: the largest on Walcheren and perhaps even the most beautiful one. The former living quarters in the farmhouse are smaller, but just as charming.
“Plantlust" has now been transformed into an idyllic holiday domain with three special and very spacious holiday houses. The new Plantlust is characterised by space, tranquillity and luxuriousness. Each villa has its own special design. The houses are tastefully decorated in an industrial and attractive style.
The garden is spacious. Each house has a lovely enclosed section with a large private terrace. Parking is available on site, behind a green hedge near the entrance of the domain; there are plenty of parking spaces available. The garden has not yet been fully realised. The typical Zeeland fruit trees are still young and the same goes for the willows along the edge of the planned area. However, “Plantlust” does offer all outdoor peace and quiet you would want to experience in the countryside. Its good sun position, makes “Plantlust” an ideal destination all year round. “Plantlust" has a nice view of the Walcheren farmland and the village of Oostkapelle. When the weather is clear, you can even smell the sea.
