Chalet - Solange

Enjoy all the seasons in the forest. It’s not just in the summer—it’s especially in the spring, fall, and winter that you can truly enjoy nature at Solange.

We are Martien and Irma Lodder, and our vacation home holds a very special place in our hearts. We can spend hours enjoying all the forest creatures, which you can observe right from the house. And we regularly go for runs in the vast woods. We are committed to helping our guests enjoy this special place as well. A place where you can unwind and where you feel like you’re on vacation yet still "at home."
We have rented out the home for many years for periods ranging from one week to as long as nine months; we would like to change that. Starting at the end of 2026, we prefer to rent it out for longer periods, with a minimum of two consecutive weeks. We cannot provide a price for longer periods, especially those exceeding one month. Please contact us to discuss and reach an agreement.
The house is located in the heart of the Doorn forests, in De Bonte Vlucht park. From the house, you can step right into the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug for a lovely walk. In the summer, you can pick plenty of blueberries, and sometimes you might even spot a deer.

The park is characterized by its immense tranquility, making it a true delight, especially for nature lovers. In the spring, you’ll see many birds nesting and courting each other. In the summer, the surrounding trees provide welcome shade on very hot days, yet there’s always a spot where you can enjoy the sun.

Surrounding the house is the woodland garden; on the terrace, you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the seating area.
Near De Bonte Vlucht, on both sides, there is a so-called "green entrance" to the woods, where marked hiking trails begin, ranging from half an hour to three hours in length. Each one is a beautiful hike, offering ever-changing, surprising views of the surroundings. The region also offers many fun activities, which we have compiled in a guestbook.
Although most people come to De Bonte Vlucht park for nature and tranquility, visiting other places in the Netherlands is easily achievable. Doorn is, in fact, very centrally located in the country.
