Holiday property - Vakantiehuisje in Abcoude - Utrecht
The Garden House in Abcoude, a 17th century village near Amsterdam, is a quaint 18th century house said to have once been a coach house of an estate. The previous occupant was the late architect Prof. Moshé Zwarts, the father of the current owner.
Zwarts restored the property in the early 1980s and furnished it in a special way with his own designs, classic designer furniture by Breuer and Le Corbusier and a large collection of fine art.
Surrounding the house is a beautifully designed garden, combined with a traditional, well-tended orchard. There are 2 terraces with comfortable garden furniture and electric awnings.
The living room is spacious and equipped with a large dining table, fireplace and sitting area. This room has an open passage to the spacious well-equipped kitchen.
There are 3 spacious, bright, comfortable bedrooms (on bgg, 1 and 2 high), 2 bathrooms and separate toilets.
