This beautifully rural six-person vacation home is located in the charming village of Zuidveen, a short distance from picturesque Giethoorn. You rent the front house of a spacious characteristic farmhouse, surrounded by peace, space and nature. Lovers of boating, canoeing, sailing, cycling and hiking can enjoy themselves to the fullest here. Directly behind the garden begin the vast nature reserves National Park Weerribben Wieden and De Auken, where you can stroll endlessly through swamp forests, reed beds and over winding waterways. In the summer months it is possible to climb the Steenwijker Tower, one of the highest church towers in the Netherlands, which is even visible from the living room. The striking Jugendstil Villa Rams Woerthe with the Hildo Krop Museum in Steenwijk is also well worth a visit. Within ten minutes you are in Giethoorn, known for its picturesque canals, wooden bridges, cozy stores, museums, cozy restaurants and waterfront terraces. A boat trip on nearby lake De Beulaeker is highly recommended. Zuidveen itself is a quiet and friendly village with a rural charm and makes an excellent base for varied day trips in the region. For a pleasant terrace or an afternoon of shopping you can go to Meppel with its cozy town center, attractive canals and nice boutiques, in Heerenveen with its varied range of stores and restaurants, or in Zwolle, a historic Hanseatic city with a rich culture, good museums and many nice places to eat. In short, this location offers the perfect combination of tranquility, nature, culture and lively excursion possibilities.

The spacious and attractively furnished living room has a cozy sitting area with a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a television, a bookcase with various books and a cozy fireplace. Then there is a dining area where you can enjoy your meals. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a four-burner induction hob, a refrigerator, a Siemens oven with microwave function, a filter coffee maker and a kettle. On the first floor is a spacious bathroom that is largely adapted for disabled persons and is equipped with a generous walk-in shower with shower chair, a vanity unit and a toilet with brackets. Immediately adjacent to the bathroom is a spacious bedroom with two comfortable single Auping beds and ample closet space. In the hall near the entrance there is a separate toilet and a freezer. On the second floor there are three bedrooms: a large bedroom with two single beds connected to a smaller bedroom with a single bed, and in addition a separate bedroom with also a single bed. In both bedrooms there is room to add a crib if necessary. On this floor there is also a second bathroom, equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. Outside you will find a green, well-tended garden where there is always something in bloom. At the rear of the farmhouse you have a beautiful view over the countryside towards Giethoorn, here is a wildflower garden where you (and your pet) may enjoy the beautiful greenery. At the front there is a private terrace with garden furniture. You can easily park in the yard.
