This unique vacation home is about 400 years old and is located opposite the Sint Piterkerk in the center of Grou. About 100 meters from the vacation home you are already on the water! Grou is known as the water sports village because of its clear lakes, canals and peaceful landscape. Numerous water sports can therefore be practiced nearby. Should you prefer to stay on land, you can enjoy a beautiful cycling route also known as De Pontjesroute or 'the 8 of Grou'. Grou is the gateway to the National Park the Alde Faenen with beautiful flora and fauna. Because of the central location of Grou, you are within fifteen minutes in one of the cozy places such as Leeuwarden, Heereveen, Sneek and Drachten.

On the first floor there is a living room with a wood stove, library and a large dining table. The kitchen includes a five-burner stove, dishwasher, combination microwave, refrigerator, kettle, Nespresso and filter coffee maker. There is also a washing machine, a high chair, a baby bed and a crib. There is a separate toilet on the first floor. On the second floor there are two bedrooms with a double bed, both bedrooms have a television and a private bathroom. A bed can be added for a possible fifth person. The bathrooms are equipped with a sink, shower and toilet. There is a courtyard garden with a furnished terrace, a barbecue and a room for the bikes where also electric bikes can be charged. Near the cottage you can park for free.
