This farm is located in the quiet mound village of Piaam just behind the old sea dyke between Makkum (2 km) and Workum (8 km). The centuries old 'pleats' has a special atmosphere and an incredibly beautiful view. The farmhouse is very suitable for business groups or family weekends (NOT for partying groups of friends due to nuisance). It is possible for up to 20 people to sleep in 9 bedrooms (possibly expanding to 10 rooms for 22 people), 4 of which have private bathrooms, the others with shared luxury sanitary facilities. There is also a sauna. Downstairs there is a spacious cozy living room in the stable and a comfortable farmhouse kitchen overlooking the large barn. Both the stable and the barn have French doors to terraces surrounding the farm with a flower meadow and orchard. The whole place is heated sustainably. In the restoration of the national monument, as much use as possible was made of reused and sustainable materials from the environment.
