Welcome to this nature cottage. Our beautiful new vacation home in unique location with panoramic views and very large garden 1600 m2 with apple and pear trees directly on open water (Elfstedenroute) and 300 meters from the IJsselmeer with its many beaches. Boat (schouw)with 6 hp motor available for free from April to October. Molkwerum is situated on the IJsselmeer between the towns of Hindeloopen and Stavoren. Molkwerum is traditionally a seafaring village. Its location on the former Zuiderzee made it the home of many sailors. The village is built on 7 islands which were all connected in earlier times. Because of the many canals and bridges it was a true maze for foreigners which is why it is now sometimes called the maze of the north. Nowadays Molkwerum is an oasis of peace and quiet.
