In clear weather, the sea dyke is visible. In the evening, the lighthouse lights of three Wadden Islands can be seen on the horizon. In this region the nights are still really dark and you can admire (from your bed) the beautiful starry sky.
The national nature park Lauwersoog is 20 car minutes away. A day trip to Leeuwarden, Groningen, Ameland, Schiermonnikoog or mudflat hiking are among the many possibilities of our region.
